IoT Engineer at LPA Energy Group

In February 2024 I joined LPA Energy Group as an IoT Engineer, working within the VRT Tek team based in Milton, Queensland.

The role centred on supporting VRT’s energy monitoring systems — the edge-connected devices and telemetry platforms that give clients visibility into how their energy assets are performing. It’s the kind of work that sits at the intersection of hardware, connectivity and data: keeping field devices online, making sense of what they’re reporting, and making sure the platform stays reliable for the people relying on it day to day.

This role ran until July 2025, when I moved into a Service Manager position at EcoJoule Energy — a natural progression from supporting the systems directly to helping run the teams and client relationships around them.
